PRN Home Infusion RN

## Primary Functions: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, instructs patients and families in infusion therapy administration, and delivers direct patient care as required. ## Major Responsibilities: 1. Conducts initial nursing assessments and evaluations to qualify patients for appropriateness and safety of home infusion therapy, along with any other needed specialized nursing care and educational needs 2. Trains patients and/or caregivers in all procedures and equipment 3. Visits all assigned patients as ordered, and documents client’s compliance 4. Provides direct patient care as ordered and allowed by state law 5. Inventories patient factor and supplies, informs pharmacy of patient’s needs 6. Provides other healthcare workers with feedback on all patients and gives suggestions for changes in procedure/protocols
