# Direct Care Worker – Romulus, MI CareOne Senior Care is currently hiring compassionate, dependable individuals to provide one-on-one in-home care for clients in **Romulus, Michigan**. As a Direct Care Worker, you'll help clients remain independent and comfortable in their own homes by providing personalized, non-medical assistance tailored to their individual needs. ## What You'll Be Doing No two days are exactly alike. Depending on the client's care plan, your responsibilities may include: - Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) - Providing companionship and engaging conversation - Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene - Preparing meals and assisting with hydration - Completing light housekeeping and household tasks - Assisting with walking, repositioning, and mobility support - Providing medication reminders - Escorting clients to appointments, errands, or recreational activities when assigned - Reporting changes in a client's condition to the office - Completing daily visit documentation ## Scheduling Options We offer a variety of work schedules, including: - Full-time and part-time opportunities - Morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts - Weekend assignments - Live-in positions - Flexible availability based on your schedule ## Compensation & Benefits - Starting pay: **$14.00–$17.00 per hour** - **Couples care opportunities may pay up to $22.50 per hour** - Weekly pay with next-day pay availability - Flexible scheduling - $150 referral bonus for caregiver and client referrals - Paid orientation and skills training - Ongoing education and career development - Mileage reimbursement for approved client transportation - Optional dental, vision, disability, hospitalization, and life insurance plans - Verizon Wireless employee discounts - Free FinFit financial wellness membership ## Preferred Qualifications We're looking for individuals who are: - At least 18 years old - Compassionate, respectful, and dependable - Comfortable working independently in clients' homes - Strong communicators with a positive attitude - In possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration - Able to pass a criminal background check - Willing to obtain a TB test before beginning client assignments if needed Previous experience in caregiving, home health, direct support, senior care, healthcare, hospitality, childcare, or customer service is welcomed but not required.
