Principal Specifications Writer / Developer

If so, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking an experienced Specifications Writer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality design and construction documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and managing detailed project specifications, ensuring alignment with design intent, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate closely with architects, and engineers to identify and document appropriate building materials, assemblies, and systems - Prepare comprehensive project specifications and manuals using established master specification content - Provide technical input and guidance throughout the design process and during construction - Support project teams during construction administration with specification-related reviews and responses - Conduct product research, analysis, and comparative evaluations - Assist with technical problem-solving and detailing as needed - Contribute to quality control efforts related to documentation and specifications * * * **Qualifications:** - 8-15 years specifications writing experience - VisiSpecs - Advantage - Certified by CSI (e.g. CDT®, CCS®, CCCA®, CCPR®) - Strong Advantage - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) - Advantage
