Principal Program Manager

Our partner is looking for a Principal Program Manager based in United States.** This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a large-scale technical program portfolio supporting critical aviation infrastructure initiatives. You will provide strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams while ensuring successful delivery across complex engineering, construction, installation, and operational activities. The position combines executive stakeholder engagement, team development, program governance, and operational excellence. You will help drive customer confidence by improving delivery performance, strengthening relationships, and ensuring alignment with mission objectives. This is an opportunity for an experienced program leader to shape execution strategies and contribute to the modernization of essential national infrastructure. ### Accountabilities: The Principal Program Manager will support regional leadership by overseeing program execution, managing project management teams, and ensuring operational excellence across a complex portfolio of technical initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to align business, technical, and customer priorities. - Support the day-to-day management of a large regional program portfolio, including engineering, construction management, installation, testing, logistics, and technical service activities. - Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project managers, field managers, engineers, construction teams, and technical personnel. - Establish performance expectations and ensure teams consistently meet safety, quality, cost, schedule, and contractual objectives. - Engage directly with executive-level customers and senior stakeholders to communicate program status, resolve challenges, and maintain strong relationships. - Represent the organization with clients, partners, subcontractors, and external stakeholders throughout program execution. - Drive consistent application of project management processes, governance frameworks, reporting standards, and quality procedures. - Support workforce planning, resource forecasting, staffing strategies, and team development initiatives. - Assist with incoming work requests by defining execution approaches, developing implementation strategies, and supporting budget and schedule planning. - Monitor program performance, identify risks, address issues, and implement improvement strategies to strengthen delivery outcomes. - Support risk management, quality control, and compliance activities aligned with organizational standards and contractual requirements. - Coordinate efforts across engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, construction, commissioning, and operational teams. - Track major milestones, critical issues, and performance indicators while providing executive-level reporting. - Promote continuous improvement, technical excellence, and customer-focused execution across the program portfolio. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced program management professional with a strong background leading complex technical initiatives and geographically distributed teams.
