Principal Network Evaluator

**Purpose and Impact:** Amentum is seeking a motivated Principal Network Evaluator with strong networking knowledge to support an exciting Computer Network Defense mission. Evaluator will work closely with Government stakeholders to identify network vulnerabilities, investigate cyber threats, conduct network defense operations, and provide actionable recommendations that strengthen enterprise security and mission capabilities. **Essential Responsibilities:** Conduct proactive computer network defense activities by analyzing systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities, detect network intrusions, monitor security events, assess attack surfaces, and develop operational courses of action to mitigate cyber threats. Perform vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools and techniques, analyze network routing devices, traffic, and audit logs, conduct packet analysis, research emerging technologies and vulnerabilities, support digital forensics and exploitation analysis, document analytic findings, and produce comprehensive reports and recommendations for Government stakeholders. **Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):** - Strong networking knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, & Arista devices and protocols), analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with computer network defense, vulnerability assessment, incident response, packet analysis, SIEM technologies, and cybersecurity analysis. - Experience researching system vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies.
