Conco offers a wide variety of opportunities on which to build a valuable and rewarding career!** **Position Summary:** You will be working in a manufacturing setting operating machining equipment to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the set-ups, conventional, special purpose and numerical control machines. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities:** - Comprehensive understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements; - Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining; - Manufacturing of die parts (punches, die sections, forming details, etc.) by utilizing department equipment; - Moderate ability to operate and maintain stamping press, vertical mill, surface grinding and other general machining skills; - Adaptability to perform duties and work overtime as demand requires; - Adhere to Employees Responsibilities section set forth in Conco's Safety Policies & Procedure Manual **Skills:** - Strong attention to detail; - Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools; - Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks above; - This position requires an organized individual who is self-motivated; - Must be able to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations; - Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up Attributes - Oral Comprehension & Expression The ability to communicate, listen and understand information and direction through spoken words and sentences; - Written Comprehension & Expression The ability to read, write and understand information and ideas; - Speech Clarity The ability to speak clearly so others can understand; - Reasoning The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction and the ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations **Experience & Education:** - High School Diploma (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate accepted); - Must be authorized to work within the United States; - Two years of related experience in a press environment **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to stand, walk and move for extended periods (8+ hours per day) - Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in various work environments - Lifting and carrying tools, equipment, and materials up to 50 lbs (occasionally heavier with assistance) - Working in outdoor and indoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) - Climbing ladders, scaffolding, or working at heights as needed - Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and heavy machinery safely - Dexterity to perform fine motor tasks, such as wiring, assembling, or troubleshooting equipment - Driving for extended periods to custom sites, sometimes in remote locations - Working in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces, attics, or utility areas - Be aware of and adhere to safety protocols **Work Environment:** The work environment involves manufacturing facilities. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials, high pressure equipment, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures.
