We are looking for experienced assistant teachers to join our private programs teaching team for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers are contracted for 10 months from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:45pm. Staff will have the option to add to their salary by working before/after care and/or summer camp. **Primary Responsibilities** - Work under the direction of the lead teacher in a Jewish preschool program that serves students 18 months to PreK - Responsible for the safety and security of the students at all times - Assist with toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing in accordance with licensing standards - Able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Assist in making daily observations - Gain knowledge of the preschool curriculum and Judaic content provided - Interact and play with children in a positive calm manner - Attend staff development, meetings and other required trainings for needed professional development hours - Follow the state licensing and grow NJ kid expectations **Requirements** - High school diploma/GED - CDA or bachelor's in education preferred - First Aid /CPR certified, if not willing to get it within 90 days of employment - At least 1 year experience working in preschool/childcare setting - Experience with Judaic knowledge is a plus Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma. An CDA, associates or bachelor's degree is preferred.
