Monitors and evaluates outcomes for students with disabilities. Assists in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Assesses student progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques. Employs various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals. Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and an atmosphere that promotes student learning. Keeps accurate records, tests, reports, etc. as required by Delaware Statutes and policies, Federal Regulations, School Board Policy and IEP requirements to monitor student progress. Establishes and maintains a positive, collaborative rapport and communication with students, school personnel and parents. Supports colleagues in differentiating instruction to meet the learning needs to students with disabilities. Collaborates with parents, administrators, and school staff to ensure the implementation of special education services, supports, and accommodations. Attends and serves as an integral part of the IEP team. Develops standards-based, measurable IEP goals based on data and individual instructional needs.
