We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated **Prep Cook** to join a fast-paced corporate café environment. In this position, you will support daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with menu items, maintaining clean and organized workstations, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. Our client values professionalism, teamwork, and a strong commitment to quality service while providing a supportive environment for growth and development in the culinary field. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare ingredients and assist with daily menu execution - Support cooks with food prep, portioning, and kitchen organization - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment - Follow recipes, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines - Assist with stocking, receiving, and organizing kitchen inventory - Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and effectively - Work collaboratively with kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment **Schedule & Pay:** - Monday-Thursday or Tuesday–Friday - AM Shift - 32 hours per week - $20.38/hr **Requirements:** - Minimum 2 years of kitchen or prep cook experience preferred - Valid Food Handler Certification required - Kitchen knives and non-slip shoes required prior to first day - Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs - Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment **Work Location:** In person **Shift:** Day Shift / Morning Shift - 8hr shifts #IND **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years of prep cook or kitchen experience preferred - Experience in high-volume food service or corporate dining environments preferred - Basic understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife handling skills - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented - Ability to adapt quickly and support different kitchen needs as required - Valid Food Handler Certification required - Kitchen knives required prior to first day - Non-slip shoes required prior to first day - Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift - Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds as needed - Ability to follow recipes, sanitation guidelines, and basic cooking instructions - Professional appearance and strong work ethic required
