**\*\*ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED\*\*** D2 has an immediate need for a PostgreSQL Database Architect to analyze, design, develop, implement, and support database infrastructure deployment and management. Responsibilities: - Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems - Maintains database integrity and security, configures role-based access control (RBAC), and sets up administrative accounts - Sets up, administers, and services accounts - Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures - Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products - Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources - Develops and implements testing strategies and document results - Provides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users - Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned - Evaluates open-source or vendor tools and participates in database migration/special modernization projects - Collaborates with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures - Plans and executes database upgrades, patching, and migrations - Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements **What We're Looking For** **Required:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience - 5+ years of related database analysis and/or administration experience - PostgreSQL experience required. Oracle database administration is a plus - Experience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions and performance tuning - Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts - Experience with database backup, restore, migration, and database snapshot technologies/strategies - Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data - Migration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, - TS/SCI clearance **Bonus Points For:** - CompTIA Security+ or equivalent **What to Expect Day-to-Day** You'll work with moderate autonomy — trusted to manage your workload and make good technical decisions without someone looking over your shoulder. The salary range for this position is typically $125 - $135k.
