About the Position FiscalNote Europe is seeking an independent Policy Analyst to support its Brussels operations on a contract basis. You will be responsible for directing and quality-controlling AI-assisted monitoring and reporting on EU policy, ensuring that our clients are up to date with the latest developments and that everything reaching them has been verified for accuracy. As an Analyst, you will use FiscalNote's own AI-powered platform reviewing, correcting and contextualising its output, and helping calibrate the tool itself as you go. You will also gain further experience in understanding EU issues more in depth, with continuous training and support to develop both your subject-matter expertise and your ability to work critically alongside AI tools. About the FiscalNote EU Issue Tracker Team Fundamentally aligned with FiscalNote's core mission of connecting the world to its governments, the EU Issue Tracker team helps its clients identify policy opportunities and threats in the EU. Combining FiscalNote's own AI-powered legislative and regulatory tracking with the judgement of our analyst team, we deliver objective, structured and accurate near real-time EU horizon-scanning that gives our clients a systematic edge in regulatory monitoring. Our dedicated analysts work with Product and Business Development teams to make sure AI-generated intelligence is verified, contextualised and translated into the right insight for our client base at the right time. Insightful and diligent, the EU Issue Tracker team works in a fast-paced, continuous-learning environment where teamwork, subject-matter expertise and a critical eye on our own technology are vital for producing the reliable, high-quality analysis we are known for. About You You are passionate about EU affairs and eager to learn more. You are detail-oriented and able to pick up the main points quickly even in the most complex texts, including spotting where an AI-generated summary has missed or misread something important. Time management and structuring yourself to manage several tasks simultaneously is something you take pride in. You are a team player who can step in and help others while not being afraid to ask for assistance yourself, and you are comfortable working in a technology-augmented workflow without losing your own critical judgement. Being part of a dynamic and international team is an environment that you enjoy working in. This is an initial 2-to-3-month independent contractor engagement (with potential for extension), offering a monthly fee of €3,250. #LI-HR1
