The [McNeese University Police Department](https://www.mcneese.edu/police/) is accepting applications for a Police Officer 1 or Police Officer 2, depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. This position exists to receive, review, and respond to requests from University Police Officers and Police Officers with outside law enforcement agencies. This position serves as the point of contact for the university for emergency situations, accidents, incidents, complaints, etc., using independent discretion, judgment in dispatching officers to various locations. Provide a limited lower-level range of law enforcement duties and requires the ability to work in a collegial manner, displaying excellent customer service skills. May be required to possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license at time of appointment. May be required to complete a Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) course. May be required to qualify annually with a firearm. Must be 18 years of age at time of application.
