Plumbing Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated **Plumbing Apprentice** with approximately **1 year of experience in new home construction** to join our residential plumbing team. The ideal candidate is **punctual, mechanically inclined**, and possesses a **basic understanding of plumbing layouts and systems**. You’ll work under the guidance of a licensed plumber to install, test, and repair water and drainage systems in new residential builds. **Key Responsibilities** - Assist journeyman or lead plumbers with installation of plumbing systems in new homes. - Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools. - Read and interpret basic plumbing blueprints, floor plans, and layout drawings. - Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are organized and ready for each job. - Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times. - Follow all company, safety, and building code standards. - Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors. - Arrive **on time** for all shifts and maintain reliable attendance. **Qualifications** - Minimum **1 year of plumbing experience**, preferably in **new home construction**. - **Basic knowledge** of residential plumbing systems and layouts. - Strong **mechanical aptitude** and problem-solving ability. - Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environments. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. - Must be organized, punctual, and willing to learn from senior plumbers. **Preferred Skills** - Experience using plumbing tools and equipment (pipe cutters, wrenches, torches, etc.). - Familiarity with local plumbing codes and safety regulations. - Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship. **Compensation and Benefits** - Competitive hourly wage based on experience. - Opportunities for ongoing training and career advancement. - Benefits package (if applicable). 1-800-Plumber +Air is the premier plumbing and HVAC company in your area that focuses providing unmatched service for our customers.
