## Description | Job Title: | Plumber | | --- | --- | | Job Classification: | Hourly Non-Exempt | | Department: | Maintenance | | Reports To: | Director of Operations & Facilities | | Status: | Full-Time; On-Site | | **SUMMARY** | | --- | The primary purpose of a Plumber is to install, repair, and maintain the plumbing systems throughout all company properties; Knoebels Amusement Park, Knoebels Campground, Lake Glory Campground, cottages, and Nickle Plate Restaurant. This is a year-round position, reporting to the Director of Operations & Facilities. Hours of operation for the summer are currently Sunday through Thursday from 12pm to 8pm and Friday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. Shifts for this position may start before operational hours or end after operational hours with evening and weekend hours required. | **RESPONSIBILITIES** | | --- | - Maintain restrooms, sinks, and showers. - Troubleshoot and clear clogged drains, repair leaks, and address plumbing related issues. - Service plumbing issues. - Maintain creek and freshwater pumps. - Maintain restroom grinder pumps. - Responsible for repair of sensor faucets and toilets. - Responsible for installing plumbing for all off-season project work. - Ensuring all plumbing work is up to code and meets compliance and safety standards. | **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** | | --- | - An 18-month Plumbing Certificate program preferred. - Both commercial and residential plumbing experience preferred. - Basic carpentry and electrical knowledge preferred. - Experience working with wells preferred. - Must have valid driver’s license. | **KEY COMPETENCIES** | | --- | - Candidates should possess strong communication skills, oral and written, high degree of integrity, ability to work cross functionally, positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to solve problems - Candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with guests, provide a high level of guest service, and be an effective member of a team - High integrity and maintains the highest level of confidentiality - Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning new subjects, systems, and technologies - Proven leadership skills and ability to take lead on new initiatives and special projects - Strong customer service skills, both internal and external - Experience in working cross functionally with all levels of management - Maintain a positive attitude - Ability to interact with industry professionals, management and team members with great poise and professionalism ***This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of this job.
