Our Muskogee plant is conveniently located within an hours’ drive of many lakes that offer a multitude of options for the outdoor enthusiast. ## Job Description The **Plant Manager** is accountable for strategic operational oversight of a continuous manufacturing operation, including ensuring safety and quality standards, optimizing efficiency, cost management and leading a team of employees to meet the plant and organizational goals. **The Plant Manager will:** - Lead and foster a plant safety culture through the operation, meeting all company and statutory requirements using the assigned processes and leader standard work for safety - Lead daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are met or exceeded - Promote a culture of accountability and teamwork within the plant - Develop capabilities of direct reports through mentoring, training, and coaching - Work with plant leadership to develop and implement succession planning and talent management program - Responsible for the implementation of O-I's quality system by adhering to all quality standards - Work with plant leadership to maintain productive employee relations. Promotes and supports team building and employee empowerment - Establish a culture of operational excellence. Works with appropriate plant leadership team to develop a plan for process improvement in the plant, including technological improvements, training to improve employee skills, and identifying opportunities to reduce costs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, quality, finance, HR, etc. to identify opportunity for enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and improving overall plant efficiency with goal of improving productivity and margin - Responsible for leading and managing the hourly workforce in alignment with the terms of the multi-site Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This includes full compliance with all contractual obligations, labor laws, and company policies. Fosters a collaborative relationship with the union leadership, proactively addressing concerns and promoting open communication.
