This position is a full-time, office-based position in Houston or Austin, TX and will be a member of the WhiteWater Commercial Operations team. The Pipeline Accounting Manager will lead a team of Pipeline Accountants responsible for WhiteWater natural gas pipeline and storage systems. This includes managing the monthly close processes, collaborating on financial reporting efforts, ensuring streamlined invoicing and payment, and assisting with customer billing inquiries. Job Responsibilities: Oversight of all settlements activities for WhiteWater natural gas systems. Develop, interpret, maintain, and apply documented process and procedures to ensure efficient billing and seamless customer experience. Complete monthly audit reviews. Review monthly invoices prior to distribution. Coordinate on all data requests and integrations for regulatory and corporate reporting. Serve as a point of escalation for customers with billing issues, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all payments. Maintain an in-depth understanding WhiteWater commercial agreements and their revenue structures. Develop tools and procedures for efficient billing processes within the Pipeline Accounting team. Manage cross-functional projects to improve business processes regarding settlement and invoicing of natural gas systems. Assist in verification of WhiteWater developed PowerBI visuals and Quorum system to ensure data integrity. Work with Operations and Accounting departments to reconcile natural gas inventory, invoiced volume discrepancies, and fuel usage. Prepare necessary documentation for the appropriate authorities including, the state, TRRC and FERC. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, industry standards, and company policies regarding billing data, reporting, and documentation. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent 7+ years of midstream accounting or settlements experience (gas pipeline preferable) Experience working with State and Federal regulatory agencies preferred High proficiency in MS Office Excel, Outlook, Word Excellent problem solving, time management, analytical and multi-tasking skills Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail Communication and Teamwork skills required: Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and effectively collaborate with others to optimize team success Keep to assigned schedule to best support the position's workgroup and related departments.
