Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physical Therapy Aide. In this role, the successful candidate assists in the delivery of therapy services. Job Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties. Initiates ideas for improving the physical environment for optimal delivery of therapy services. Notifies appropriate persons when equipment is in need of repair or is missing. Learning and Professional Growth: Keeps abreast of current literature as new developments in the field. Patient Preparation: Assists the patient in preparation for and at the conclusion of treatment. Maintains the patients safety and comfort by following procedural and safety guidelines. Monitors the patient's personal care and environment constantly, assists the patient with toileting needs when indicated. Utilizes the appropriate supplies and equipment in relation to the type of treatment being administered following departmental safety guidelines. Assists the patient in dressing and undressing with appropriate supervision. Application of cold and/or heat modalities: Administers cold packs, hot packs, and paraffin to the patient as part of their treatment program. Applies and removes the modality.
