It is essential that all duties are performed with the highest level of integrity, while supporting Inglis Values and Standards of Excellence, ensuring the achievement of competencies and compliance with regulatory agencies. **Your Impact:** The Physical Therapist has the primary responsibility to evaluate, plan, and provide comprehensive treatment plan aimed at maximizing resident’s independence and quality of life. Evaluates outcomes and makes modifications to treatment plan as indicated. Responds to physician consults and provides all services in accordance with physician prescription. Screens residents and determines need for Physical Therapy services. Supervises and delegates duties to Certified Physical Therapy Assistant and Rehab/Restorative aide. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and resident families to ensure provision of quality care. Plans and conducts therapy and treatment programs in accordance with physician’s prescriptions. Makes recommendations regarding equipment modification. Evaluates and records resident progress. Counsel resident, caregivers and family regarding resident status. Oversees activities of Physical Therapy support staff. Assists in program scheduling. Cooperates with other Inglis House staff to ensure level of resident care is maintained. All essential job responsibilities will be executed in accordance with Inglis Administrative policies and compliance/ethics guidelines. **What You'll Do**: - Demonstrates understanding of relevant neurological and orthopedic conditions and disease management strategies. - Consults with the resident, caregivers, and family to obtain information about health, associated history, previous interventions, and associated outcomes. - Screens residents and assesses physical therapy needs according to designated time frames per policy and procedure. - Selects qualitative and quantitative methods and measures based on evidence-based practice and safely performs assessment. - Analyzes assessment findings. - Recommends a treatment plan with interventions strategies aimed at maximizing independence and safety determined by resident goals. - Demonstrates understanding of wheelchair positioning and mobility requirement and management strategies - Implements interventions and/or delegates implementation to the Physical Therapy Assistant - Routinely re-evaluates progress and adjusts interventions as needed. - Discharges resident from services when goals or projected outcomes have been attained. - Ensures continuation of therapeutic care plan following discharge from skilled therapy by designing home exercise programs or appropriate restorative programs. **What We're Looking For**: - Physical Therapy degree from a recognized and accredited institution is required. Experience preferred; however, new grads are welcome to apply. - At least one year of clinical experience preferred with outstanding clinical skills and/or exceptional interest in the treatment of individuals with neurologic conditions demonstrated by program development, clinical education, research or patient care. - CPR certification required. - Valid Pennsylvania license in Physical Therapy. **Pay Rate for this Role:** $46/ hour - **NOTE: This is a POOL position** **Join Us:** This is your chance to be a part of a team of dedicated staff.
