## Description **Position Summary** Provides physical therapy services to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Assists with treatment implementation, patient education, documentation, discharge planning, and departmental activities while maintaining professional competency and licensure requirements. **Key Responsibilities** Assist Physical Therapists with treatment procedures and rehabilitation programs. Perform routine therapy interventions according to established plans of care. Observe, document, and report patient responses and changes in condition. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Educate patients and family members on home exercise and treatment programs. Participate in clinical team meetings and discharge planning. Attend departmental meetings, in-services, and special projects. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Provide educational presentations and in-services to staff and community groups. Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, literature review, and professional meetings. Complete all other duties as assigned. Fulfill required continuing education units (CEUs) during each two-year licensing cycle. ## Requirements - Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. - Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or eligibility for licensure with proof of application submitted. - Current CPR certification required. - Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full-time patient caseload across applicable clinical settings. - Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
