All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:** - Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance - Paid Time Off from Day One - 403-B Retirement Plan - 4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental Leave - Career Development - Whole Person Well-being Resources - Mental Health Resources and Support - Pet Benefits **Schedule:** Full time **Shift:** Day (United States of America) **Address:** 501 REDMOND RD NW **City:** ROME **State:** Georgia **Postal Code:** 30165 **Job Description:** **Work Schedule: Weekends Fri, Sat, Sun 7p-7a** - **Perform and oversee specimen collection** by accurately completing venipuncture and microtainer collections, ensuring proper patient identification, specimen labeling, and order verification. - **Coordinate daily phlebotomy operations** by prioritizing STAT and urgent specimens, assigning workloads, troubleshooting service issues, and supporting efficient laboratory workflow. - **Train and mentor staff** by assisting with department orientation, educating laboratory staff and students, mentoring new employees, and ensuring competency documentation is completed. - **Maintain safety and regulatory compliance** by adhering to infection prevention, chemical hygiene, PPE, hand hygiene, and hazardous waste handling and transport requirements. - **Support operational excellence** by serving as a professional role model, collaborating with leadership to resolve workflow issues, and contributing to high-quality patient care and laboratory service. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. [Required] • Ability and willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment. [Required] • Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, etc. [Required] • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English. [Required] • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required] • Phlebotomy (venipuncture and capillary).
