Job Title: Speech & Language Therapist Banding: Band 6 Location: Vauxhall, London Start Date: ASAP Duration: Permanent Salary: £42,000 per annum Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Job Overview We are currently seeking a committed and skilled Speech & Language Therapist to join a specialist day school in Vauxhall, London, catering to children and young people aged 5 to 17 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with a particular focus on social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to work within a therapeutic and educational setting, where your expertise will contribute to a seamless model of care and support for pupils with complex needs. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Deliver tailored speech and language therapy interventions to children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs. Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support therapeutic learning environments. Contribute to assessments, care planning, and progress reviews. Provide training and guidance to educational staff to ensure consistent, clinically informed support. Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to service improvement. Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you must: Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC. Have experience working with children and young people with complex needs, particularly SEMH. Be confident in delivering therapeutic interventions and supporting staff teams.
