In 2026, we became the **FIRST** and **ONLY** Magnet®-Recognized hospital in the state, reflecting UMC's nursing professionalism, teamwork, and superiority in patient care.* ***Position Summary:**Responsible for the administrative and clinical operations of Hepatology and Liver Transplant Services in conjunction with the primary liver transplant surgeon, including quality management, the evaluation and selection of patients and donors and post-transplant care. Responsible for promoting high standards of practice through development of liver transplant policies, protocols and practice guidelines and participates in rigorous performance improvement monitoring.* **Education/Experience:** Graduation from an accredited school of medicine. Completion of a twelve (12) month formal Transplant Hepatology Fellowship with specialized training in transplantation under the direct supervision of a qualified liver transplant physician and in conjunction with a liver transplant surgeon. The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in all aspects of organ transplant program development. Board Certified in Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology. Procedural experience with Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy and ERCPs, ultrasound guided liver biopsies will be desired. **Licensing/Certification Requirements:** Valid License by State of Nevada to practice medicine. State of Nevada Pharmacy Board License to Prescribe Medications and DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.-Educational and/or administrative experience in program building (e.g., Program Director or Associate Program Director)**Knowledge of:** Adult and pediatric care, equipment, supplies and practices; federal, state, local and accreditation laws, regulations and standards; related outside agencies, their services, roles and responsibilities to contact them to appropriate needed information for patient referrals; principles and practices of medical care; quality assurance and performance improvement principles and methods; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and procedures; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures; age specific patient care practices. **Skill in:** Effective administration and management of medical functions; developing and monitoring capital and operating budgets; developing goals, objectives, policies and procedures; applying leadership techniques; making effective decisions under stress and emergency circumstances; developing programs; solving problems; effective provision of medical care; assessing and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of medical care provided through the use of hospital QI program; ensuring that services are appropriate for meeting patient’s medical, social and emotional needs, consistent with sound health care resource allocation practices; developing goals, objectives, policies and procedures; applying leadership techniques; making effective decisions under stress and emergency circumstances; developing care plans; solving problems; communicating with a wide variety people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment. **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:** Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard equipment, stami…
