Sun River Health is currently seeking a Pediatrician to join our Southampton location and supporting our Shirley and Patchogue locations. Sun River Health is currently seeking a Pediatrician to join our Southampton location and supporting our Shirley and Patchogue locations. The Pediatrician diagnosis and treats patients in his/her specialty area; collaborates and supervises nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants; participates in planning and developing health care services in his/her specialties, treats conditions and illnesses within the scope of the physician’s specialty, referral and follow-up of patients when indicated, participates in after-hours coverage to insure 24-hour availability of care for Center patients. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of his /her specialty following evidence-based standard of care. - Provides off hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated to do so. - Designs and participates in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews. - Provides supervision for clinical activities of medical providers and medical documentation in his/her department, including but not limited to review of protocols, telephone triage, follow-up procedures. - Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of SRH patients outside the Health Center. - Sets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty; participates in the development of programs to carry out these standards. - Maintains legible and appropriate documentation of medical records. - Participates and attends provider meetings. - Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards. **Schedule:** - **Southampton- 3 days a week** - **Patchogue- 1 day a week** - **Shirley- 1 day a week** **Minimum Education Requirement:** - Doctorate Degree M.D. or D.O. - Valid License to practice medicine in New York State - Board Certified **Minimum Related Work Experience:** 2-4 years **Minimum Licensure**: Physician License in New York State, Board Certified and CPR/BLS **Required Skills & Knowledge:** - Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures that nurse practitioners are trained to do and are necessary for practicing in health care centers. - Competence in delivery of health care to patients (including preventative health education) - Ability to collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction. - Bilingual in both English and Spanish (orally and written) is preferred **Job Type:** Part time **Salary Range:** $112,890.96 - $127,534.68 annualized (part-time / 21 hours per week) $215,030.40 - $242,923.20 annualized (full time / 40 hours per week) **About Sun River Health** Visit our website for more information: [**https://www.sunriver.org/**](http…
