We are seeking a Payroll Accounting Manager to lead the administration, oversight, and continuous improvement of the firm’s global payroll and compensation accounting processes. This role is responsible for ensuring that salaries, wages, bonuses, and incentive s are processed accurately, timely , and in compliance with company policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The Payroll Accounting Manager will serve as a key subject matter expert and operational leader for payroll, compensation accounting, and related controls. This individual will partner closely with Human Resources, Finance, external payroll providers, auditors, and other stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions . The ideal candidate will bring strong technical payroll and accounting expertise , high attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to manage complex processes in a fast-paced, global environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES M anage and process global payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations . Coordinate with global payroll providers in France, UK, UAE, Australia, Japan, and others to support accurate and timely payroll processing . Manage relevant payroll provider and software vendor relation ships , including issue resolution and service coordination. Maintain and communicate annual payroll calendar , key deadlines, and processing requirements. Maintain and update payroll records, including: salary changes; federal, state, and local taxes; exemptions; insurance coverage; deductions; and other necessary records Lead compensation-related activities, such as salary adjustments , bonus payments, and long-term incentive programs . Prepare financial reports and statements related to compensation, including periodic and year-end reports for internal use and compliance with government regulations. Prepare compensation-related journal entries and update and maintain the underlying calculations and analysis. Prepare budget s and forecasts for all compensation related costs. Work closely with the Finance department to reconcile compensation-related accounts and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately reflected in the company’s accounting system. Respond to employee queries regarding payroll issues and provide accurate information and guidance. Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local payroll, wage, hour laws , and best practices. Work closely with the US payroll provider to ensure accurate state tax filing, reporting, and compliance. Keep abreast of current trends and best practices in compensation and payroll accounting. Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for compensation-related items. Collaborate with auditors, accountants, and other finance professionals to ensure integrity and accuracy in financial reporting. Lead the implementation and maintenance of payroll and compensation accounting software and systems. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve payroll processes, reporting, controls, and systems. Identify issues , analyze root causes, and propose solutions . Responsible for ad-hoc Human Resource projects and assignments.
