To learn more about Team OC please visit https://www.orthocarolina.com/about-us **We are currently searching for a Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina team at our Spine Center located in Charlotte.** The **Patient Services Specialist** greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims. **Essential Functions:** - Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit. - Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges, - Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due. - Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested. **Skills and Abilities:** - Excellent customer service skills - Working knowledge of insurance - Epic/EMR background a plus - Medical terminology **Qualifications:** - High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree - Prefer minimum of one year experience in medical clinic setting. ### ### **Employee Type** Regular ## **Qualifications** ### **Skills** Health Care, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), Medical Records Management, Medical Terminology, Patient Care, Patient Charting, Patient Education, Patient Information ### **Education** ### **Certifications** ### **Language** ### **Work Experience**
