This position is responsible for providing care to dialysis patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. **Essential Position Responsibilities** - Prepare dialysis equipment for treatment including ensuring all pre-procedure testing is performed prior to patient treatment - Assist with disinfecting process and storage of dialysis equipment post treatment process - Obtain patient vital signs, document in the medical record, and report findings to the assigned nurse - Initiate dialysis treatment within scope of practice and partner with assigned nurse as required - Monitor patient during treatment ensuring patient is responding appropriately to treatment and notify assigned nurse of any adverse reactions to treatment - Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures as they pertain to the delivery of care, infection control, and safety - Collect and label specimens and ensure timely delivery to the laboratory - Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the department and ensure supplies are stocked **Qualifications** - **Education:** High school diploma or GED - **Licensure and Certifications:** CCHT certification required within 18 months of start of dialysis experience. CPR, required. - **Experience:** Previous experience in a dialysis clinical setting, preferred. **Work Environment**: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
