Patient Access Representative (overnights)

## Description Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative (0.875 FTE) to work the overnight shift. Responsibilities include: - Arranging for the efficient and orderly registration of clinic patients, admissions of inpatients, ER visits and individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures. - Interviewing incoming patients and enters information required for admission into computer database. - Answers incoming calls through WWH's call center and makes outbound calls to patients. - Coordinate and process patient referrals. All of this is done to support the organization’s mission while living our values. $3,000 signing bonus - $1,500 paid on your first paycheck - $1,500 paid after 6 months of employment ## Requirements **QUALIFICATIONS** *Western Wisconsin Health expects employees to understand and to incorporate the values of our organization in their day-to-day practice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* **Minimum Qualifications:** - High school diploma or GED - Familiar with PC based hardware and software programs **Preferred Qualifications:** - 2+ years related experience - 2+ insurance knowledge - Familiar with electronic medical records - Superior customer service **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** - Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information - Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards - Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records - Clearly and effectively convey information to patients - Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently - Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility - Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment **Work schedule:** - 0.875 FTE – 70 hours per biweekly pay period - Hours are 8:30pm-7am - Every other weekend **ABOUT WESTERN WISCONSIN HEALTH** Western Wisconsin Health is an integrated hospital and family practice clinic located in Western Wisconsin, just 30 minutes from downtown St. Paul on I-94.
