## **Employment Type:** Part time ## **Shift:** Night Shift # **Description:** ORIENTATION/TRAINING IS MON-FRI 8a-4:30p for 2 WEEKS Includes classroom time in Springfield, MA **Position Purpose** Resource person responsible for Emergency Department bedside registration, collection of copayments and collecting all patient demographic information. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. **What you will do** - Obtain approvals and payments on site - Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information - Responsible for the pre-registration process of patient admissions - Explain insurance and private pay liabilities; appropriately refer patients requiring financial counseling - Accurately enter/update all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability; post payments to appropriate screen and complete reconciliation reports **Minimum Qualifications** - Minimum High School diploma or equivalent - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances - Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred **Position Highlights and Benefits** - Part time 24hr on 11p-7:30a shift including every other weekend -- shift, weekend and holiday differentials apply! - **TRAINING IS M-F 8-4:30 for 2 weeks, including significant time at Mercy in Springfield** - Benefits available even for part time! **Ministry/Facility Information** Saint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
