We believe in fostering a positive work environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and employee well-being. **As we continue to expand, we are seeking experienced and motivated Party Chiefs to join our team in our Middleton office (The Villages, FL).** **Job Description** As a Party Chief at CFB, you will lead a field crew in conducting a variety of land and construction surveys. This role is critical to ensuring accurate field data collection, proper equipment care, and seamless communication between field and office teams. You’ll play a key part in project execution while mentoring newer team members and staying up to date with surveying technology. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead a field crew in conducting various land and construction surveys. - Coordinate and communicate daily with project managers, field coordinators, and office staff. - Operate and maintain survey equipment. - Upload/download field data and maintain accurate field notes. - Ensure care, charging, and functionality of all survey instruments. - Safely operate a company vehicle to and from job sites. - Follow all safety procedures and regulations on-site. - Mentor and train newer employees. - Stay current with surveying technology and equipment updates. - Perform minor equipment adjustments and ensure data accuracy. **Qualifications** - 2+ years of experience in land surveying as a Party Chief/Crew Chief **required**. - Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors. - Strong understanding of land surveying methods, practices, and terminology. - Ability to read and interpret construction plans. - Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Commitment to safety protocols and procedures. **Why CFB?** - Competitive salary and benefits package. - Opportunity to work on impactful and community-focused projects. - Supportive and collaborative team environment. - Professional development and mentorship from experienced professionals. - A growing company with a strong reputation in the industry.
