Speech-Language Pathologist (P�12) Location: Murdock� Lafayette, Indiana Position Type: Certified Staff Contract Term: 2026�2027 School Year Contract Length: 186 Days Reports To: Director of Special Education and Assistant Director of Special Education Salary Range: $47,000�$65,000, based on education and experience (Adjusted to $28,200-$39,000 due to being part-time) Additional Compensation: $2,000 annual stipend for holders of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Start Date: August 2026 Position Summary The Lafayette School Corporation is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students from preschool through grade 12. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders to support their access to the educational environment and promote academic, social, and functional success. The Speech-Language Pathologist collaborates closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized interventions aligned with student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current Indiana Professional Licensing Agency Speech-Language Pathology license Valid Indiana Department of Education Communication Disorders teaching license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience in a school setting is preferred Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Essential Responsibilities Assessment and Evaluation Conduct screenings, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations to determine student eligibility for speech-language services. Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to parents and educational teams. Participate in eligibility conferences and multidisciplinary case conferences. IEP Development and Compliance Develop measurable goals and objectives for student IEPs. Provide input for students with speech and language as a primary or secondary disability. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations.
