We are seeking a passionate, certified, and relational Part-Time Supplementary Math Teacher to join our elementary team. In this targeted role, you will have the unique privilege of delivering focused numerical and problem-solving support to elementary scholars. Role Summary The Part-Time Supplementary Math Teacher delivers structured, standards-based math support to elementary students. Reporting directly to the Building Principal and working alongside grade-level classroom teachers, you will lead guided math groups, deliver explicit conceptual lessons, and provide targeted interventions to help our scholars reach or exceed grade-level mathematics standards. Why You'll Succeed (Qualifications) Certified Specialist (Required): Must hold and maintain a valid, active Missouri Elementary Education Certification (Grades 1-6 or similar elementary-level DESE endorsement). Educationally Prepared: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field (required for state certification). Math Fluency Expert: Deep understanding of foundational math standards, including number sense, algebraic thinking, fraction concepts, and multi-step word problem strategies. The Patient Educator: Exceptional human relations skills with a genuine sensitivity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children. Collaborative Partner: Ability to work closely with full-time classroom teachers and building instructional coaches to align your supplementary lessons with core grade-level curriculum goals. Your Impact (Key Duties) Targeted Math Instruction: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons that align with Missouri Learning Standards and meet the diverse needs of elementary students. Small-Group Math Circles: Lead targeted math groups and explicit problem-solving workshops using physical manipulatives, visual models, and interactive activities.
