This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy being active, maintaining a visible security presence, and helping ensure a safe environment for businesses, customers, and tenants. Schedule Friday: 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM Saturday: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Sunday: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Position Overview The Security Officer will conduct highly visible exterior foot patrols throughout the shopping center while monitoring for suspicious activity, criminal behavior, trespassing, loitering, and other property concerns. Officers are expected to maintain a professional presence while providing exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. Responsibilities Conduct regular foot patrols of the shopping center and parking areas Monitor for suspicious persons, criminal activity, safety hazards, and property damage Identify and address issues involving trespassing, loitering, and homeless individuals in accordance with company policy Serve as a visible deterrent to theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity Interact professionally with customers, tenants, vendors, and property management Report incidents, maintenance concerns, and security issues promptly Complete daily activity reports and incident reports as required Observe and report all unusual or suspicious activity Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary Qualifications Active Texas Security License (or ability to obtain one) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to walk and patrol outdoors for extended periods Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable transportation and attendance Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Ideal Candidate Observant and proactive Comfortable working independently Professional and dependable Excellent verbal communication skills Able to maintain a strong security presence while interacting respectfully with the public Join United Protective Services and become part of a team committed to providing professional security services and exceptional customer support.
