Part-Time Custodian (Potential for Full-Time) JobID: 3514 Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Custodian Date Posted: 7/10/2026 Location: District-Wide Additional Information: Show/Hide HOURLY PAY - $18.04/hour BENEFITS - See the attached summary JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE:Elementary School- Second Shift Custodian (part time with potential for full time) QUALIFICATIONS: -Valid Illinois driver's license required -Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds -Ability to perform manual tasks including climbing, stooping, carrying supplies and equipment, and handling chemicals. -Ability to successfully complete a preemployment functional physical, fingerprint based background check, and Employment History Review REPORTS TO:District Wide Custodial Supervisor-K-12 JOB GOAL: To provide a safe, clean, and orderly learning environment for students and staff. This role ensures that school operations continue smoothly by maintaining facility hygiene, safety, and functionality on a daily basis. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleans assigned shift/area and completes duties as directed by the supervisor, including but not limited to- Hard surface floor care, carpeted floor care, bathroom cleaning, glass and high touch area cleaning. Sets up and/or tears down equipment and spaces for school functions and outside groups. Dumps and manages garbage. Substitutes in other areas or roles as needed. Occasionally works outdoors in varying weather conditions. Performs additional duties as assigned by the District Wide Custodial Supervisor-K-12 Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor, Director of Operations and or District Superintendent, while working in conjunction with District Principals.
