Providing customer service and enforce rules and regulations. Majority of the workday is outdoors - with exposure to inclement weather, extreme heat/cold/windy - conditions such as temperatures at or above 90 degrees Documentation and record keeping including incidents/accident reports and discrepancies Cleaning and maintaining all parts of three large public restrooms (custodial services) and changing rooms on a (daily basis) Empty large trash cans on a (daily basis) Adapt to a constantly changing set of priorities and environment. Provide routing maintenance and construction of park areas, amenities, and equipment. Travel and care for satellite park locations Operate lawnmowers, weed-eaters, light automotive equipment, common gardening/hand tools, various motorized equipment, and edging/trimming equipment; apply safety precautions accordingly. Assist with and/or manage special event participation. Load a unload tools, equipment, dirt, gravel, clay and sand for special projects. Physical tasks will include: Independently lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds or a regular basis Performing tasks requiring standing for extended periods of time and reach for items lower than, at, or above shoulder level. Performing tasks requiring repetitive twisting of hands, legs, neck, and/or waist. Performing tasks requiring balance, stooping, kneeling/squatting, and/or bending. Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs. Requires a current and valid **Driver’s license** **Schedule** This position is a 7 day a week operation including early mornings, evening, weekend and holidays. The facility is open daily from dawn to 11 pm. Part Time Hours - Average scheduled hours up to 27 hours per week. **Location** 2001 Pefley Lane Virginia Beach, Virginia 23457 The individual selected for this position will be housed at a primary site but may be scheduled between other park sites/facilities. Schedules will be adjusted seasonally and will vary weekly based on events, facility coverage, and weather.
