The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing parking regulations within a specific site or concentrated area through continuous foot patrol. This role emphasizes visibility, customer interaction, and detailed monitoring of parking activity. ### Key Responsibilities - Patrol assigned parking areas on foot to monitor for violations. - Issue warning tickets or citations for violations including improper parking, expired meters, and unauthorized use of designated spaces. - Identify vehicles subject to towing and report accordingly. - Accurately document violations including time, date, location, and vehicle information. - Maintain real-time logs and reports of enforcement activity. - Inspect assigned areas for safety hazards, cleanliness, and compliance with site standards. - Report malfunctioning equipment, signage issues, or property damage. - Monitor pedestrian areas to ensure safe vehicle-pedestrian interaction. - Act as a visible, approachable presence for customer questions and support. - Assist customers with parking-related inquiries in a professional and respectful manner. - Escalate complex or confrontational situations to supervisors. - Immediately report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions. - Maintain consistent communication with Operations Manager or Shift Supervisor. - Follow all safety protocols and site procedures. ### Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - Strong attention to detail and observation skills - Ability to work independently - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills **REQUIREMENTS:** - Must be at least 18 years of age - Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws - Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security.
