Park Technician A - WAE

The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. The purpose of this position is to complete various physical, custodial, and/or administrative tasks to include cleaning various facilities and assisting with the public. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: No experience or training required.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found [here.](https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=176505) **Job Duties:** - Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of facilities. - Cleans interior and exterior of facilities at site. - Operate fee station at park entrance. - Assist in upkeep of site grounds and facilities. - Assists in collection of appropriate fees from site visitors. - Provides a high level of customer service and assists customers with inquiries. - Assists custodial staff with cleaning interior of facilities as necessary for customer turnover. - Requires the ability to stoop, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, sit, stand, and walk on a regular daily basis. **Position-Specific Details:** **Location:** Chicot State Park, Ville Platte, LA **Appointment Type:** This position will be filled as a**part-time Classified WAE**, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period. \*\*Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.\*\* **Work Schedule:** Part-time; Mon-Sun; Weekends and Holidays will be required. *Louisiana as a State, is a Model Employer for People with Disabilities.* **How to Apply:** **No Civil Service test score** is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
