We invite you to learn more about DCR’s efforts to CONSERVE. **Job Duties** - Maintain, improve, and protect park facilities, grounds, systems, resources, vehicles and equipment by performing and supervising maintenance projects. - Use skills in a variety of trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, landscaping, small engine repair, and troubleshooting systems. - Supervise and coach wage employees, volunteers, and alternative labor in the successful performance of these operations. - Provide user safety and satisfaction by providing clean, safe and well-maintained facilities and grounds; providing good information to guests; and assisting with guest services. **Minimum Qualifications** - Experience leading, directing, and training staff or volunteers. - Ability to use a variety of tools, materials and equipment to maintain facilities and grounds maintenance, including mowing, landscaping, snow removal, tree work, and trail maintenance. - Skills in basic construction and maintenance trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and masonry. - Proficient verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, guests, and preparing correspondence/reports. **Additional Considerations** - Demonstrated customer service experience. - Computer skills and familiarity with software applications. - Experience overseeing workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and safety training. - Experience in parks and recreation or similar environment. - Demonstrated experience with supervising groundskeeping, maintenance, construction or other work related to the upkeep and operation of recreational areas. **Special Instructions** Submission of an online application is required for this position.
