Paraprofessional, Special Education JobID: 3253 Position Type: Support Staff/Special Education Assistant Date Posted: 7/9/2026 Location: Lakewood High School Date Available: 08/20/2026 Closing Date: 07/16/2026 Additional Information: Show/Hide Paraprofessional, Special Education: Lakewood High School; 2026-2027 school year; self-contained behavioral focused unit; must be willing to be trained in crisis prevention intervention training; not to exceed six hours and 30 minutes per day (6.5 hours) with 30 minutes unpaid lunch; must have or obtain an education aide permit from the Ohio Department of Education and meet the guidelines of Every Student Succeeds Act; responsible to building principal and/or designee. To Meet ESSA requirements: 1. Have earned at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours from an Institution of Higher Education; 2. Hold at least an Associate's Degree; or 3. Successfully completed the ODE State Mandated Para Assessment. If you have not met one of the three above, must be willing to successful complete number 3, the Ohio Para Assessment. Paraprofessionals may be required to perform various medical and/or health-related procedures, including lifting, toileting, and feeding, as a part of their job duties. In situations where invasive medical procedures are required, specific training will be provided.
