Summary Operating under the direction of the Building Leader and classroom teachers, this position provides instructional support with a focus on delivering reading interventions using Colorado Department of Education (CDE)�approved programs. This position supports implementation of the READ Act by assisting with intervention lesson delivery, preparing instructional materials, monitoring student progress, and reinforcing positive learning behaviors. This position also contributes to assessment logistics, clerical tasks, and the maintenance of an organized, supportive intervention environment. Instructional and READ Act Support Assist the teacher in delivering intervention lessons using CDE-approved instructional programs. Support small-group and individual instruction in reading skills, literacy foundations, and targeted interventions. Reinforce teacher expectations by coaching and guiding students during learning activities. Monitor student participation, engagement, and progress; communicate updates to teachers and building leadership. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify students who may require additional reading intervention support. Participate in required staff meetings, intervention training, and building-level professional development. 2. Clerical Support Assist with clerical tasks such as scheduling intervention sessions and supporting assessment logistics. Prepare, organize, and maintain intervention records and student documentation as directed. 3. Instructional Materials Support Prepare, copy, and organize instructional and intervention materials. Assist with tracking, reviewing, and recording student assignments and intervention activities. Support classroom organization by maintaining materials, tools, and resources used for intervention programs. 4. Other Duties Additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned as needed/requested. Education and Experience Acceptable demonstration of acceptable education and/or experience will be at the sole discretion of the District High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree, completion of at least 48 semester hours of college coursework, or a passing score on the WorkKeys assessment (or other approved assessment) required for Title I schools Coursework or experience related to education, child development, early childhood preferred Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills required when assigned to a bilingual program Licenses, Registrations or Certifications Criminal background check required for hire Valid Colorado driver's license or valid Colorado identification required Ability to obtain and maintain required district trainings (e.g., restraint training, first aid/CPR if assigned) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of early literacy skills…
