Job Summary: Under the direction of the Supervisor of the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), is responsible for applying general skills supporting the program's educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. Two positions available. Salary Range: $28.91 - $32.84 per hour Paraeducator B based on the 2026-2027 Public School Employees Salary Schedule Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation. Work Schedule: Start Date: September 14, 2026 Shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Paid Hours: 7 hours per day Lunch Break: 30-minutes unpaid break Calendar: EC Mini Calendar, 133 work days; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 9 paid holidays. Qualifications: Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the state qualification pathways listed below:Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or Passed one of the following Professional Educator Standards Board approved assessments:ETS ParaPro Assessment Score of 455 or higher (https://www.ets.org/parapro) Para Pathways Score of 324 in Reading and Writing and Score of 325 in Mathematics Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment Score of 220 or higher Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program Score of 65% or higher Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate. Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position. Requirements: All ECEAP staff, including long term subs, must create a MERIT account and complete the free Portable Background Check (PBC) process prior to starting. This process may take up to three weeks, so applying for this free process and completing the steps in a timely manner is important. We encourage prospective staff to begin this process upon interest in applying for a position with ECEAP.
