Job Title: Locum Speech and Language Therapist – Community Therapies Banding: Band 6 Location: Community Therapies Start Date: ASAP End Date: 8th December 2025 (with potential of contract extension) Rate: To be confirmed Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm Job Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join the Community Therapies team on a locum basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of community settings, supporting children and young people with complex communication needs. You will be delivering speech and language therapy services in clinics, nurseries, schools, and colleges, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those with diverse and often complex needs. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide assessment and intervention for children and young people with complex communication needs Deliver therapy across multiple community settings including nurseries, schools, and colleges Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards Adapt therapy plans to meet individual needs and educational environments Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you must have: A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership Proven experience working with complex needs in community settings Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload Why Choose Pulse?
