For more information on Horizon’s full portfolio of organic dairy products, visit Horizon.com. **Horizon Organic Benefits:** - **Base Hourly Wage $26.28** - **Medical, Dental and Vision after 30 days** - **PTO after 90 Days** - **401K with Company Match after 90 days** - **Employee Assistance Program** - **Short / Long Term Disability** - **Employee Discount Program** **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Support the plant’s continuous improvement efforts - Participate in required DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings - Train new employees. - Follow all safety policies and procedures. - Complete required paperwork timely and accurately. - Operate equipment safely. - Understand and follow CILT (Clean, Inspect, Lube, and Tighten) - Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment. - Perform minor and routine maintenance on equipment. - Communicate any issues and solutions to the next shift. - Read and follow production schedule. - Cleaning of all equipment using CIP systems, COP tanks and manual cleaning. - Communication of issues with co-workers, maintenance technicians and lead. - Operate computer systems needed to run production. - Uses two-way radio to communicate remotely with other team members. - Comply with all quality policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices - Demonstrates how to centerline machines. - Demonstrates how to operate Bagger/Debagger and Pallet Strapper - Operate Robotic Palletizing/Depalletizing - Pass and maintain forklift certification. - Maintains good housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas. - Escalates issues in a timely manner to team members, support personnel and plant leadership. - Comply with all regulations, policies, and procedures - All other duties as assigned or become evident **Preferred Candidate Qualifications:** **Education and Experience** - High School Diploma or equivalent - Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing - Minimum 1 year experience in operating fluid dairy fillers **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Fundamental skills in influencing and persuasion - Strong interpersonal skills associated with developing trusting relationships - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to prioritize and multitask - Good negotiations skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP - Ability to work in a fluid environment - Ability to identify problems, draw conclusions, and make recommended solutions - Ability to be self-directed with little supervision - Ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 Manufacturing Operation, may include working overtime, graveyard shift and/or weekends as needed. **WORK ENVIRONMENT:** - The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
