Dishwasher / Porter are directly responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is the first thing a diner sees. Ensuring that all items used within the kitchen is cleaned to standards. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES: - Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in a variety of situations - Honesty & Integrity - Delivers outstanding service and creates memorable experiences. - Coordinates and multi-tasks job duties in an active environment SPECIFIC DUTIES - Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand. - All dishes, glassware, plastic containers, pots and pans must be put away clean, dry and grease free in a neat and organized manner - Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks. - Clean garbage cans with water and proper MSDS cleaning supplies - Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. - Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas. - Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. - Sweep, scrub and mop floors. - At no time should there be standing water on the floor anywhere in the kitchen; as per the health code violation. - Responsibilities to ensure all paper towels, soap are refilled at every handwashing sink throughout the kitchen. - Weekly deep cleaning of both ice machines also daily spot cleaning REQUIREMENTS: - Must have 2 years + experience as dishwasher/porter at a comparable restaurant or hotel. - Must have a basic understanding of the English language - Must be able to lift 50 lbs - Must be able to stay on your feet for 8 hours plus Knowledge: Must have basic knowledge of sanitation procedures
