## Description ## **Join our team at Fernbrook Family Center!** **Sign on bonus included!** **Flexible schedule- full and part time hours available.** ## **Clinical Trainee** ### **Job Summary** Clinical Trainees provide diagnostic assessments, therapeutic services, and skills-based interventions to children, adults, and families. Working under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional, Clinical Trainees support clients with mental health concerns to improve daily functioning. This role includes direct client services and participation in clinical supervision to meet licensure requirements. * * * ### **Supervisory Responsibilities** Clinical Trainees do not supervise other employees. However, they are expected to collaborate and coordinate with Fernbrook team members who share client or caseload responsibilities. * * * ### **Key Responsibilities** - Provide psychotherapy and/or skills services to children, adults, families, and groups - Conduct diagnostic assessments to determine eligibility for services - Meet productivity benchmarks and weekly billable expectations - Complete documentation in accordance with agency standards for quality and timeliness - Coordinate care with Fernbrook staff and external service providers - Seek supervision and consultation as needed - Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and supervision - Complete required trainings and maintain professional development - Fulfill clinical supervision requirements per licensure plan - Complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years (or as required by licensing board) - Uphold and represent Fernbrook Family Center’s mission - Follow all agency policies and procedures - Travel between client sessions as required - Perform other duties as assigned * * * ### **Required Skills & Abilities** - Strong ethical decision-making skills - Ability to maintain professional boundaries - Strong time management and organizational skills - Effective written and verbal communication - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively - Willingness to seek support and accept feedback - Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth * * * ### **Physical Demands** - Extended periods of sitting, listening, observing, and computer use - Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds * * * ### **Schedule & Work Environment** - Flexible schedule, typically between 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. - Regular travel to client homes, community settings, Fernbrook offices, and other service locations - Salaried positions: 40–43 hours per week (additional hours as needed) - Hourly positions: Up to 40 hours per week (overtime requires prior approval) * * * ### **Education & Experience** - Master’s degree **or** current enrollment in a qualifying graduate program (field placement with the agency) - Working toward licensure as LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP - Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance (for community-based roles) - Must pass a criminal background check per DHS and agency requirements * * * ### **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience working with children, adults, and families - Bilingual skills * * * ### **Reasonable Accommodations** Fernbrook Family Center is committed to an inclusive and supportive workplace.
