Outpatient Occupational Therapist, Neuro

Provides quality occupational therapy services with assistance of COTA. This position requires an ability to be creative, adaptable and the ability for independent judgment of assigned duties. **JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Completes patient evaluations, develops treatment plans and implements treatment programs. - Administers treatment at multiple locations for in/out patients. - Supervises COTA daily as needed. - Complete timely communication and documentation of patient related information. - Represents OT in various multidisciplinary meetings. - Assists in OT department cross training of OT personnel. - Supervises OTR/ COTA field work students and volunteers. - Promotes safety in the department on a daily basis and participates in and presents in-services to OT staff and others. - Assists in developing and implementing program development. - Provides back-up for departmental therapists during vacation periods. **PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:** Must be able to sit for up to ninety minutes at a time. Be able to tolerate standing for thirty to forty-five minutes consecutively. Must be able to use hands/fingers to manipulate dials on machines. Must have the ability to lift/move patients up to 200 lbs., push/pull patients weighing up to 200 lbs. Must have the ability to occasionally stoop/bend, squat, crouch, kneel and reach above shoulder level. Must be capable of tactile sensation as it relates to feeling for muscle spasms, texture and skin temperature. Must have the ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation and ability to hear call bells. Must be capable of seeing as it relates to general vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision. **EDUCATION:** Doctoral Degree or Masters degree from an accredited occupational therapy is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent, required upon hire or to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Pennsylvania or New Jersey, based on work location, is required. The Occupational Therapist shall work within the practice guidelines as defined by Pennsylvania or New Jersey state law (based on work location). **TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:** Successful completion course work and completion of required clinical affiliations from an accredited occupational therapy educational program. CPR certification **MINIMUM - MAXIMUM COMPENSATION PAY RANGE:** $69,450.00 - $111,120.00 St Luke’s University Health Network is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
