Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by management.** **RECEIVING MATERIALS** - **Schedule incoming freight shipments.** - **Read and verify packing labels.** - **Unload pallets of newly arrived raw material.** - **Inspect raw materials for any damage.** - **Place the new raw material in the appropriate inventory.** **Arrange the return of any damaged raw material.** **INVENTORY** - **Locate inventory material for shipping.** - **Stock new inventory material.** - **Re-stock any additional inventory.** - **Determine the location of missing item.** - **Identify low stock items.** - **Rotate old stock items to the front (FIFO).** - **Maintain materials organized.** - **Move raw material without damaging it.** **WORK WITH CUSTOMERS** **Provide service to walk-in customers.** - **Assist walk-in customers with inventory selection and other decisions.** - **Write up orders for walk-in customers.** - **Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness.** - **Operate forklifts and other machinery or tools safely.** - **Wear proper personal protection equipment.** - **Keep area clean.** - **Remove obstacles from warehouse floor.**
