Responsibilities: - Welcome patients and customers with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel comfortable, valued, and excited about their eyewear choices. - Manage incoming and outgoing calls, skillfully handling appointment scheduling, product inquiries, and eyewear order questions. - Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and strong product knowledge to understand visual needs and recommend frames, lenses, and lens enhancements that best suit each patient's lifestyle and budget. - Support front office and optical operations by preparing patient profiles, updating records, and assisting with opening and closing tasks. - Maintain optical inventory, including frames, lenses, and accessories, and place orders as needed to ensure product availability and attractive merchandising. - Spend dedicated time with patients in the optical, guiding frame selection, taking accurate measurements (such as pupillary distance and segment heights), and reviewing lens options and coatings. - Accurately document eyewear orders, verify prescriptions, coordinate with labs, and ensure timely, precise processing of all optical transactions. - Engage in ongoing cross-training in both front desk and optical functions to foster personal and professional growth within the practice.
