We are seeking a skilled **Ophthalmic Technician** to join our eye care team. In this role, you will assist ophthalmologists by conducting patient assessments, performing diagnostic tests, and supporting clinical procedures. Your contributions will help ensure the clinic runs smoothly and that patients receive exceptional, high-quality care. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Collects and documents patient medical and ocular histories. - Performs preliminary vision tests including visual acuity, tonometry, pupil evaluation, refraction, and color vision. - Administers eye drops and topical medications as directed by the physician. - Conducts diagnostic imaging such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus photography, and visual field testing. - Assists with in-office procedures and minor surgeries. - Prepares examination rooms and maintains ophthalmic instruments and equipment. - Educates patients on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-procedure care. - Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. - Adheres to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Completion of an accredited ophthalmic technician program preferred. - Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or higher preferred. - Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting. - Proficiency with ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic equipment. - Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. **Position Type:** - Part-Time
