## Overview Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift 50 pounds Experience with Calipers and other measuring devices is helpful. ## Description Duties include prepping packaging materials, packaging product(s), cleaning work area, monitoring the product and equipment to ensure proper functioning, and abiding by safety standards. **Tasks** · Operate machinery used in the production process, and/or assist machine setups. · Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify setups immediately. · Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using machines. · Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete. · Mark or tag the proper identification on packaging. · Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances. · Clean and arrange equipment. · On a regular basis, examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. · Record information, as needed, to ensure the product meets specifications and tolerances, this can include – width, length, coloring, shape, feel (rigidity or flexibility), etc. Also, record the dates and times. **Abilities** | · **Performing** physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. | | --- | | · **Observing**, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources (e.g. die cards, order sheets, verbal directions, etc.) | | · **Inspecting** equipment, raw materials, finished products to quickly identify defects, possible causes or other problems with the line and either resolving them within your skill set or notifying your Line Lead. | | · **Monitoring** and reviewing information from the production floor environment, to detect or assess problems as it relates to safety and production. | | · **Communicating** with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates by providing timely information them by telephone, in written form, or in person, as needed. | **Work Attributes** (needed and rewarded) | · **Dependability** — requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations. | | --- | | · **Attention to Detail** — requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. | | · **Adaptability/Flexibility** — requires being open to correction (positive or negative) and to daily changes. | | · **Cooperation** — requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude. | | · **Initiative** — requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges. | | · **Integrity** — requires being honest and ethical. | | · **Persistence** — requires persistence in the face of distractions and obstacles. | | · **Independence** — requires developing one's own ways of doing things, guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done. | | · **Self Control** — requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations. | ## Requirements Must be willing to work our Midnight (12 AM) to 8:00 AM shift Must have a High School diploma or Equivalent Must be a self- starter
