Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs all work in a safe manner; remain constantly aware of continuous improvement(s) for safety-related opportunities. - Set-up and run machine according to daily production schedule while complying with all quality standards and specifications. - Ensure line is stocked with proper materials and products - Inspect package for proper seal, dating, film alignment and product quality - Efficiently load top film when role is running low and/or when switching to packaging of different product - Change parts correctly according to production schedule - Control the waste of packaging materials and products - Operate machine to maintain proper seals, proper weights, proper vacuum and accurate, legible coding of package - Keep accurate daily paperwork and communicate any downtime over 15 minutes to supervisor and maintenance - Ensure proper assembly of Multipond Scales and Mondini Sealer - Maintain clean and organized work area - Follow GMP/HAACP procedures Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of packaging machines, scales and/or mechanical aptitude 2. Intermediate level communication skills 3. Ability to delegate responsibilities. 4. Ability to troubleshoot and quickly adapt to unexpected events 5. Ability to neatly and accurately complete paperwork 6. Flexibility to changeover on short notice (may do multiple c/o in a day) 7. Ability to operate an electric pallet jack 8. Ability to safely use a ladder Materials and Equipment: 1. Mondini Sealer, Multipond scales, Waldrop denester, Deville Dicer 2. Rolls of film and plastic trays 3. Production schedule, production reports 4. Ladder Work Environment: 1. Stand on concrete 2. Cold and wet environments 3. Work alone or with others 4.
